Private Label and Resale Rights
Many people starting out on the
Internet find that the easiest way to get up and running is by
purchasing "Resale Rights" to a product that was developed by
someone else. Sounds like a good idea, doesn't it. By purchasing
"Resale Rights" you have no research, development or design costs.
You have an instant business if you know how to purchase a domain,
set up a website and automate your payment processor, and best of
all, unlike selling Affiliate Products, you get to keep all the
profits. Can't go wrong, can you?
Here's a quick look at what you
own with different rights:
Resale Rights: This
means you have the right to resell the product and keep all of the
profits. However, there are two distinct types of resale
rights.
Basic Resale Rights:
If you purchased "Basic" rights, you can sell the product, but you
cannot sell the "Resale Rights" to your customer.
Master Resale Rights:
You can sell the product to your customer along with the "resale
rights" which means your customer can also sell "resale rights" to
their customers. Sometimes Master Resale Rights are bundled with the
product and sometimes they are sold separately.
Branding Rights: You
can make limited changes to the product such as including your logo,
ads, website URL and Affiliate links.
Give Away Rights: Many
authors forbid you from selling a product for less than a specific
amount to maintain the value of their product. However, some
products are specifically created to be given away. Often these are
short reports that have Ads and specific Websites that are being
promoted and the whole idea is to give away the eBook to promote a
specific author or publisher or website. This is called "Viral"
marketing and it is a very effective way to get your name and
products out to the Internet very quickly.
Private Label
Resale Rights
As I mentioned, there are
many ways you can get a steady supply of very high quality Resale
Rights products if you are ready to begin developing your own
digital empire. These membership sites are highly recommended, but
as with anything else, it's important that you put your own personal
stamp on the products you receive, otherwise, you'll just end up
getting lost in the crowd.
Keep in mind, many of these sites
will sell only a limited quantity of memberships, so if you are
interested, please check to see if they are still taking new
members. |
