3 Success Tactics For Affiliate Marketers

Affiliate marketers are constantly searching for that successful market that will pay the largest commission check. They sometimes believe there’s some kind of magic formula readily available to them. The reality is, it’s more complicated than they are led to believe. It’s actually just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.

There are a few tactics that have worked previously with online marketing and continue to work in online affiliate marketing. These top three marketing tips will enable you to increase your sales and survive in the competitive world of affiliate marketing online.

So what exactly are these three tactics?

1. Use a unique web page to promote each separate product you’re marketing. Don’t lump everything together in order to save money on web hosting. It’s best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

HostgatorYou must always have product reviews on the website so visitors have an immediate understanding of what the product can do for anyone who buys the product. You must also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product and make sure these customers willing to allow the use of their names and photos on the site of the specific product you’re marketing.

Another thing you can do is write articles highlighting the uses of the product and add these to the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to action on the information. Each headline should invite the readers to read more, or even contact you. Highlight your special points, which will help your readers to discover what the page is all about and compel them to find out more.

2. Offer visitors to the website free reports. Try to position your free report offer at the top of your page so it can’t be missed. Then create an autoresponder series of messages that will be sent to those who enter their personal information in order to get the free report. Research has shown that a sale isn’t closed usually until the seventh contact with a prospect.

There are only two things that can occur with just a single web page alone — a closed sale or the visitor leaves never to return. By sending them useful information at specified periods of time, you’ll remind them of the product they may decide to purchase it after receiving several follow-up emails. The content of your follow-ups should direct to specific reasons they should purchase the product, without making it sound like a sales pitch.

You should focus on important points that show how the product will make their life easier and more enjoyable. Make sure each email has a compelling subject lines. Always do your best to avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dump this type of content into their junk folder before they have a chance to read the email. You should try to convince your website's visitors to sign up for your free report because they’ll be missing something important if they don’t take advantage of your products and services.

3. Get traffic that’s targeted to your product. If someone visits your website but has no interest whatsoever in what you’re offering, they’ll be one more person who moves on never to come back. You should also be writing articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This will help you locate publications that are focused on your target customers and what you say might just grab their interest.

If you can, try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. Continuously writing and submitting these articles can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site each day.

Keep in mind that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. This means that if you can generate 1,000 targeted hits to your website each day, you can made 10 sales based on the law of averages.

This tactics isn’t really that difficult to do, it just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs and you may end up with a good source of income and surviving as an affiliate marketer, which is something not all marketers are able to do.
